Good for both - shows that new Pumped Hydro is possible and financially viable, While that are geographically at opposite ends of the grid, I don't think it would matter if they were next door. They will both last several times longer than any Lithium Ion battery.
The Spencer Gulf one is interesting in that it would use the ocean as the lower water storage, so only a single dam needs to be built. I think Kidston is much further along with the planning and is likely be be completed first (with "Snowy 2.o" maybe not in my lifetime )
