It may indeed be where it is heading, but based on my research, its absolutely not where it belongs.
The rational behind a private takeover is not totally mad - much of the company debt is funded by its employees already - I believe they have pumped in somewhere between 60-100m into the company of their own money.... thats one of the main sources of companny funding, they "borrow" form their employees at interest rates up to 47% - rather than from a bank.
In such a way they get their employees to have skin in the game, and be well incented, as the better they perform, the better profit share (interest payment) they receive.
Point is, 100m is about 1/3 of the company now.. so its not beyond the realms of imagination - I am sure they would be considering ways to take it to a private partnership - I know I would be if I were them - a few 1000 "private investors" (read: employees) - already owed money and with a truer feel for the business than any of us here due to their on-the-ground experiences....
