Could someone tell those brilliant businessmen running AGL that if they do not know what to do with a cash cow, try giving some cash to the shareholders.
They got their fingers burnt with mobile phones, their toes chopped off in New Zealand and now .... ?
What is an energy trader going to do with 35% of a cash burning power plant that makes huge losses? especially when wholesale electricty price in Vic has been dropping steadily.
I really hope the ACCC will stop this nonsense deal (for a different reason though).
As I do not believe Coles is doing the right thing with this stupid petrol deal, I do not believe AGL knows what to do with a power plant (probably a little bit less than mobile phones). I have sold my CML and I will sell my AGL.
And if I don't, since I got most of them under $9, I will let the board have a piece of my mind at the next AGM.
