About Archie, have always been puzzled about why he was here in the first place. Just didn't seem a match with what oil was about. However, he was known to some board members, and 2 years ago OIL really needed a fresh face, a CEO. If it didnt get one, OIL may have been no more.
Still, I didn't think it would last, the whole appoint was odd really. No doubt his departure will be as interesting as his appointment.
Maybe he patted someone on the bottom, caught stealing from the mini bar in a German hotel....I doubt whether we will know.
The statement said 'Regret' ( the resignation), and his gone in a flash. Maybe he did something silly, remember the board have much stronger governance now since the last chap. Remember him???
