Which adverse Qld weather condition? IMHO this year is not that bad - late cyclone season, just one major flood, no issues in SEQ apart for one nasty hail storm, etc. So I don't see the reason for mortgage payments to be affected by weather conditions.
Business confidence is falling for some time regardless of government, and is mostly to do with big drop in mining investments and shrinking market for coal.
