having work in the cardio respiratory field (as a physiotherapist) this seems to have the hallmarks for the sort of product that would be quite effective in treatment of paediatric patients.

Older patients and doctors of the elderly tend to be a bit more resistant to change whereas people involved in paeds tend to be a bit more progressive. An assessment tool that requires no patient effort would be extra effective in paediatric assessment.

I havent read the research papers yet but hopefully I can find them (im guessing they are on KSX's website) and read them this weekend.

I'm not in research nor in the caridiorespiratory field anymore but if I can find them I'll post my opinion of them.
