I assume that shorts cant't cover on the NZX. Does anyone have insight into this? I notice that recently the NZX volume has been high compared to ASX (around 50% of ASX volume - not so long ago it used to be a small fraction).
Your point about the NZX is interesting. There is no short sales reporting out of the NZX, so large funds could use the ASX and NZX to play off against each other.
