I got the muscles right then
It’s good to see you safely home Saragian and I note that the volume today responded with a little wriggle as well ( up to 878,344).
Meanwhile, as anticipated, the shorters continued lacklustre yesterday . There were 72,292 short trades and that was 13.42% of the volume
-They reached their peak back on January 11 when almost 7.4 million had been loaned for shorting .
On February 5 this was down to around 4.4 million.
Today? There were lots of centrepoint crossed trades ...(just quietly I think someone large is building a position )
VWAP today was 205.047.
And a strange smallish late trade similar to Monday’s there was , (when around 17,000 went through at $2.05 -one cent less than closing price )
Today 12,124 shares - also at $2.05 - which today was the closing price.
(Very odd)
...According to Hoyle ?
-I got lost in Amazon Saragian and then Penguin https://www.penguinrandomhouse.com/...-of-games-by-albert-h-morehead/9780452283138/.
It had to be the right site right? You know the rules and the market plays by the same ones and I wanted to know what they are .
Then I realised this book was written by Albert Morehead so clearly not the Hoyle or the games you were referring to.
I tracked another Hoyle down - the father of whist and he for whom the “according to” was coined;
“Edmond Hoyle (1672 – 29 August 1769)[1] was a writer best known for his works on the rules and play of card games. The phrase "according to Hoyle" came into the language as a reflection of his generally perceived authority on the subject;[1]since that time, use of the phrase has expanded into general use in situations in which a speaker wishes to indicate an appeal to a putative authority.
Then I realised there was yet another Hoyle - William E Forrest Hoyle! (possibly a descendant of Edmond) who was ALSO clearly the Hoyle you meant due to the Wall Street connections AND the reference to martingales which are of course synchronistic with Jacko’s Racing Club https://whatheheckaboom.wordpress.c...-of-the-game-in-wall-street-by-william-hoyle/
As martingales sound akin to catching falling knives I was beginning to get quite interested ......
But luckily I remembered a favourite author from my youth, Fred Hoyle, and started wondering instead how a black cloud might look transposed onto one of your charts .(https://www.penguin.co.uk/books/180/180376/the-black-cloud/9780141196404.html)
Whew
Cheers
