You also can't look at the past and say because it did happen it will repeat itself in future.

Because there was buying support at a certain price, under specific and unique market conditions it does not logically follow at a different time, with different conditions the price action will be the same. Or that the buyers and sellers are the same. Or that future market events are foreseeable and predictable (think GFC).

Go and talk to Warren Buffet, Packers, Murdochs etc... and see what their opinions are about gaps being filled, tripple/double bottoms etc...

I'm not totally writing T.A off, but the premise 'because it's happened before it will happen again' is pretty flimsy IMO.
