fyi - when WPL drilled a hole in the GAB, they reported "excellent" reservoir sands ......(gnarlyknotts was the name if I remember correctly).......they walked away, well cost was 80-100m ......
several "old" geo's have reported tar's along that coastline ......which has to come from somewhere.......
I think the new operator has had a few approval issues........but given its age, and the two closest basins having oil ......and large mapped structures.....it seems to warrant more work.
