    Yes, the old maxim of always look a gift horse in the mouth has crossed my mind with RED's new venture.
    Still, the sum of the parts may be greater than the whole, and a change in process may extract value from overlooked assets ... many of the outstanding successes in the last decade have been by companies who have found new riches in old mines .... NST and GOR for instance. The real worry for investors in the sector may be a coming reversal in the POG as outlined in this excellent post https://www.peakprosperity.com/discussion/113724/pm-end-week-market-commentary
    SLR's hedging, combined with a falling $A may insulate profits and have an impact on market sentiment towards SLR. But if the whole sector is reversing then there will be a flight to quality, not the SLR's of the gold world. SLR's main hope for a significant price recovery must surely lie in some form of corporate action. Whatever, volatility in all markets is the only certainty for 2018.
