Technically SLR looks crap - 40c has become strong key resistance, and the trend is at best sideways if not down, despite a high POG and good hedging .... and the Dow tremors can only mean that interest rates are on hold, and the US$ will remain under pressure, resulting in a continuing strong POG.
Admittedly, many stocks have formed tops after a good run, but seeming relative good value is not enough to attract mainstream support for SLR .... Leper Gold Ltd ?
Compare this with the exciting prospects of RED5 .... after the current management came on board, in 2014, they rescued the company from the brink of catastrophe, and then again after 'cyclone Gina' struck the Phillipino mining industry, they again showed their mettle by finding, acquiring and commencing a totally new project centered around the old Darlot gold plant - already RED is on track to production of 100k oz per year at an initial AISC of $A1291 (SLR shareholders read & weep), plus have an exciting exploration program planned and have $21m cash and the prospect of the Siana gold mine being re-opened .... giving an annual production of 200k+ per year. RED 5 MC is less than half of SLR and SLR is cheap ??
It's a pity that SLR doesn't have the services of such a dynamic leadership team.
Nordesmic has been a consistent believer, but even he is now intent on quitting SLR in 6-12 months.
Is this an estimate of how long a Cool Hand can hibernate ?
Perhaps nordesmic could render an opinion on RED5 ?
