Nearly all their northern land has no crops.. north of say Clermont. Irrigation development will lead to more cropping, even if just fodder at first. Perhaps there may be some new crop which will be able to be done on a non irrigation (or dryland as it's called ) basis.....this may be more possible with associated infrastructure and services that come with irrigation development.
