Yes, well the $500m spent on Jaya and the supply base would be handy now.
I would be fuming if I was Mr Kum as it sounds like he offered a capital raising to stave off sale of the supply base. In these situations minorities are often generously allowed for so it's just straight up breach of fiduciary duty.
Just participate.
Maybe when I have $500m I will be able to raise the roof on these things but for now I have to accept I am tiny and play the board within the established constraints.
Having said that the equation has changed now the company has backers showing a voice and keeping each other honest - a 70m equity raising would be very interesting. The question of buying before or after is one I have never been able to answer satisfactorily - you take your chances either way.
I would change my sentiment to buy but don't have any money in this one.
