Tim is at it again this morning, buying more shares on market, which has to give everyone confidence.

Like the rest of us, he might be looking at the gold price, but I also get the feeling that something else "may" be afoot, perhaps very good assay results, or some new discoveries?

Maybe we compliment each other then El Capo, because I hound companies for information and discussion, and sometimes not because I want an investment advantage (though that would be nice), but because I am genuinely interested in the science.

I should have been a geologist. Anyway, many company directors and managers have sent me lots of files on minerals, geology, morphologies, extraction and production technologies etc, so I have been able to strike up some good relationships.

Some directors are very proactive and dynamic and intelligent and I would definitely follow them to other companies.

I also should say that I have on occasions received some curt replies, but that goes with the territory.

I have not had much luck receiving any replies from Chalice though, maybe it is a policy not to get into debate or information exchange with shareholders outside of official announcements, and some would advise this is a good way of playing it safe.

The directors of some companies however, even post quite openly on HC, at least when things are going well for their company, one iron ore company comes to mind.

It will be interesting to see now, if Tim's recent plentiful buying is actually a precursor to some substantial event.
