While it is appropriate that the CEO bares ultimate responsibility, there probably ought to be a number of other executives facing the gullitine. No doubt that their termination packages will see them through quite nicely to their next job. Hopefully their remuneration packages substantially included shares so that they suffer like the rest of the shareholders.
