There's probably more in it than 15c. Additionally they've accumulated many more shares now at a nice average of free. (and yes some on market and in SPP)

i wouldn't be disheartened at my post because if you subscribe to the idea of self interest they'll need to figure out a way to get the s/p up high enough with enough volume to allow selling. or a solid takeover price.

personally think they duped themselves rejecting a speculated CR offer to huayou at a premium to the SPP which would have give them ability to exercise 10c options and have a huge stake and commence hostile takeover.

instead they done a terrible SPP which cratered the price and was awarded to huayou and lith plus (aka CATL) anyways.

the only positive is it has forced huayou to play ball in April. if not you can expect more CR's the keep diluting them until they come to the party.

Best thing AVZ could do right now would be to lift the skirt and give full transparency to the market and about wAs has or has not been offered formally or informally by whom and at what price. via conference or an agm

they'd get 20 wraps across the knuckles from the asx and probably have to retract the statements about it but it'd put the torch on huayou and light a fire under the s/p

if the Chinese want to muck around I'd say it's time to get the hands dirty.
