Thanks for the insight LuckyBloke...they did say it was going to be a 'soft launch', perhaps as they see how people react to it in the market. They didn't elaborate when they were going to be more aggressive in their strategy & marketing.
Perhaps they wait until WC is over and can use 'tech used by 2018 WC Champions'.
Has a nice ring to it and would be hugely effective I would have thought.
The Playr product is very specific (soccer only) so I don't see competition as a big concern (outside StatSports) although I agree young kids these days do have A LOT of things to choose from when it comes to gadgets.
