Slider,
What Havilah Resources stated about Parndana in Feb '03 is the following....
"
A 1,200 metre shallow percussion drilling programme completed at
the Parndana project during the quarter was designed to follow up
strong indications of basemetal and gold mineralisation associated
with the regional Snelling fault zone. This included widespread soil
and stream geochemical anomalies and an earlier government drillhole
intersection of 5 metres of 5.8% zinc and up to 1 ppm gold at the
Grainger prospect.
* Havilah's drilling confirmed the previous high grade zinc result,
with several encouraging intersections at the Grainger prospect,
including :
Highest gold results of 0.5 ppm were returned in two holes, while
silver reached a maximum value of 9.4 ppm.
* The drilling has clearly outlined shallow disseminated basemetal
mineralisation at the Grainger prospect over a strike length of at
least 400 metres. There is considerable scope to expand the area of
mineralisation, which currently remains open both at depth and along
strike. In particular, field mapping and interpretation of SAEI
geophysical data indicates that possibly several kilometres of
prospective strike remains to be explored either side of the Grainger
prospect.
* In light of the encouraging drilling results obtained at the
Grainger prospect, a new exploration licence was applied for over the
western strike extensions of the major Snelling Fault host structure.
Further field mapping and geochemical sampling will be carried out
during the next quarter in order to better define mineralised target
areas for future drilling."
They went west, when they should have gone east. There is a good probability that
Monax are about to hit a major mineralised system, the source of those tasty tidbits from earlier on.
Hope you have your entitlement form in. I applied for extra.
