re: cars on gas...shane76 Text book scenario for a WH Statesman owner trying to sell his car after 5 years and 120,000 kms.

Seller: "I am hoping for $40,000."

Dealer: "See those six over there in the corner they all wanted around that much too"

Seller: "Mine was the International."

Dealer: "No its not, who told you that?"

Seller: "Joe in your new car section when I bought it."

Dealer: "Yeah Joe used to say alot of things, look buddy your timing gears need re-doing, the steering needs re-doing again, the leather is gone, the push rod 8 is leaking like a Jag, every warning light in it is blinking like a christmas tree."

Seller: "$35,000 then those warning lights started coming on from the first week I owned it."

Dealer: "Look I want to help ya so lets say ummmmm $18,000."

Seller: "$30,000."

Dealer: "Look buddy do you wan to sell your car or what?"

Seller: "$27,000"

Dealer: "$19,000 final offer."

Seller: "Done."
