Read a bit of history of Religion and the Church of Rome and it defies belief that any rational person would believe in religion.

The animals running the church used to murder those who questioned the bullsheet preached at the pulpit and these church sanctioned murderers were not held to account for their barbarity. Heresy was the buzz word back then and millions of innocent free thinkers were slaughtered in the name of a so called god. What garbage people believe in! It was strange they even called the church rulings a "bull" - how appropriate.

It is no different today in as much as the church tries to claim they are unaccountable to anyone on earth (just like Pell did) and that is why pedophiles conveniently use the church as sanctuary - they feel nobody can see what they are up to and assume (rightly to date) that nobody will allow their cult to be investigated . And we still have cults like Scientology robbing the mugs blind as exposed last night on SBS. Why would anyone get mixed up with such trash dedicated to total control of people, destruction of family, domination, exploitaton etc? Maybe the suckers are a bit soft in the head but it sure can be argued that the criminal churches in general (of all types) are nothing other than major organised crime gangs.

I have always said you sure don't need to associate with some bunch of criminals to be a decent person helping the less fortunate in our world yet the churches seem to be able to con millions into believing they have something to offer. If the likes of Pell and the scumbags he supported are what is on offer I want no part of any church.

I frankly detest these gutless creeps who prey on the less fortunate and hide within the church. Much of what they do is nothing more than a criminal business and they should be taxed to the max and never held up as being worth even a knob of goat droppings.
