If Pell is convicted and sentenced then I worry if he is not guilty but convicted by public opinion that it is a gross miscarriage of justice. Is he a victim of the publicity associated with the vile deeds of others where there is no doubt about guilt.
If you look at the opinions of 90% of the posters here he has been judged guilty even though most have not had the opportunity to examine all the evidence. Has the jury that same mindset. I think that he has had to prove he is not guilty rather than be proven guilty.
I'll make no judgement. I believe Karma reigns and, from the words of my grandmother "punishment is mine, sayeth the lord". As a Cardinal he would be well aware that he has to face that judgement.
By the way I am not a Catholic, though I am a believer in Christian Principles.
