I reduced my significant MNY exposure by half, after this news:
Harold Mitchell has penned an article today in Fairfax warning that the recent sharp decline in new car sales is like the “canary in a coal mine” for the economy: Car sales are dropping. July sales were down 8 per cent and followed May and June which recorded reduced volumes on...
Total sales for the first seven months of 2018 were 691,073, which is 0.2 per cent below the same year-to-date result for 2017.
I'm not sure what is so wrong in July, but it doesn't look good. I'm uncertain if it'll affect MNY, or whether the trend will continue, but I had a lot of MNY, so I'm reducing just in case.
Any opinions on the cause of the decline in July car sales and whether it'll affect MNY?
