If you read back through past announcements, JRV have been pretty clear on their strategy. Sell off non-core assets and royalties, continue developing NiCo Young and look for other business development opportunities.
Flemington; JRV didn't lose anything. The deal was inked years ago and is simply following course. Another $4m in the kitty.
eCobalt; the amount of money invested came as a surprise, however JRV did specify in their December 2017 CR announcement ...
"... actively reviewing advanced business development opportunities across multiple jurisdictions. These funds provide flexibility to execute on these potential growth options."
Kabanga; the PL application is an opportunistic and strategic move that will have little impact on other projects both in terms of time and money (at this stage). If successful, as @cdchi1 says, "it'll be like winning tattslotto!"
NiCo Young; work continues. PFS on track for completion Q4 2018. Cobalt recoveries up. Nickel recoveries maintained.
