Since the new management have moved in, not a single word about Azul!??
I went to all that trouble to study up on tin mining, the economics of Azul got me very excited, TP and SM at the helm, approved the name change to Triumph Tin and now.... potash! fertilizer.! why not Triumph Fertilizer instead.?
The guy next door just spread some all over his garden and ...phew!! although it is probably Blood and Bone. At least no longer being a shareholder I do not need to study up on potash. Thankfully.
Certainly some fertilizer has been put on the SP by someone as it has (apparently!) grown well. Remarkable. The power of fertilizer.
The Azul acquisition (March 2013) required :
1. US$100,000 immediately
2. After 1 year - US$250,000 plus 2,000m of drilling
3. After 2 years -US$500,000 plus 3,000m of drilling
4. After 3 years and 10,000m of drilling, Avenue can elect to complete
the transaction for ownership of 100% of the project with a final
payment of US$3M
5. The underlying owner to retain a 2% NSR production royalty
Given that the $250,000 was paid in March, in 6 months another $500k is due plus 3000m of drilling of which there is no sign at present.... and of course the small matter of $3m handed over in 18months.
Silence.
At least the company is out of the steamy malaria and poppy infested Burmese jungles! One big run on the board for the new board.
So my own hobby horse of Azul looks like dying a natural death.... along with the cash spent on it. Maybe it can be sold??? er.. transferred?
Is Azul economic.? Will it be abandoned.. written off? It was described once as "a rare and advanced primary tin opportunity" with a current mining licence. Wow! No small feat! It really got me in..! hook, line and sinker.
I would love AVB to buy Azul for a song and hit it hard, (Stage 3?) and turn it into a gold mine (not literally!). That will not happen obviously.. but one can dream.
For a company that is suddenly in demand, if one really believes the BUY/SELL queue, it is not discussed much. Strange.
Maybe this forum needs some fertilizer too??
