Not sure if anyone has looked into how MCC's proposed Cape Lambert compares to our own BSIOP but at first glance they look similar in size. Cape Lambert 10km slurry pipeline to port versus BSIOP 30kms. Both require min 300MW Power plant and desal. Cape Lambert 15 mtpa concentrate versus BSIOP 24mtpa (12 of which is pelletised).
IF MCC doesn't think it can get Cape Lambert going it wouldn't bode well for similar BSIOP.....one advantage we have is potentially being able to tap into Sino's infrastructure next door - but at what cost? Big Clive will need to get his thinking cap on for this one.
