I am confused. I only have a small position in ARQ, had originally intended to increase, but the beast is becoming so complex (after having been a simple and focussed Perth basin play) Getting a little concerned as to how well the board can handle such spread of assets? Any ideas? Whats your view on BMG assets?
Off topic your question on another forum wrt my picks. Not sure I am the best oil stock picker. Although my only major pick for the year was CVN, I also bough smaller lower conviction stocks that mostly owe me a little, and my 06 oiler picks performed pretty ordinarilarly.
I have nearly 30% of portfolio in CVN, and if I didn't have so many would rate it possibly my strongest buy. My no.2 (&longterm) is COE. I also have some ARQ & IPM under review, and several tiny stakes that need weeding out. Bought a few SAE and SUR (only for Thailand) recently. Whether oil or minerals I look for profitable production, management and strong mostly organic growth, probably not your style, but suits me as I lack geo expertise. I am currently looking for a CVN or COE type to make 10+ % of portfolio. Maybe it will be SAE? may be not.
Although not my typical pick, any thoughts on MEO?
