Whitebark Energy

In addition to yesterday's spud of the 160MMbbl potential Xanadu-1 well in the Perth Basin, partner Whitebark Energy is commencing a major program in Canada.

It is about to kick off its first two back-to-back wells in the Canadian drilling program, while pipeline construction has commenced to add stranded production to network in Thorsby area, and it has re-entered a well in Canada's Paddle River lease.

Whitebark and its partner Point Loma Resources have commenced an aggressive work program with the drilling of a well and the construction of a pipeline interconnector at the Thorsby project in Central Alberta to bring currently stranded production to market.

If drilling is successfully the well will quickly be completed and connected to the existing production facilities and new pipeline.

Activity has also commenced in the Paddle River Oil project with a well re-entry, well activations and the drilling of the second well in the current drilling program, both targeting the Ostracod.

The company said the work in Canada would help it move towards its target of target of doubling production.
