If the US wants us to back Uncle Sam against China (our most important trading partner) then they should be prepared to cop our surplus exports which China is now gradually shunning.Last year we had an $18 billion trade deficit with the USA and a $30 billion trade surplus with China.So we have to decide on:
- do we remain neutral in the US-China Trade War or do we back Uncle Sam and go bankrupt.?
The shoe is now on the other foot compared where we were when Geoff favoured China re the Vietnam War and the CIA/Uncle Sam knocked him over by cutting off access to US dollars for Aussie Bonds and the rest is history.
