Gas prices are going to keep rising regardless, because without gas lots of big industry will be without the energy it needs for 24 hr production. Australia's growing population and energy demand will be the decider.
Silly to think that Australia could go total renewable to 55% in such a short period. Matter of fact it's just going to be in even shorter supply. And even then overseas demand is a better price.
It all comes down to demand.
