I think it may be over faster than anticipated if all goes smoothely. 40 days involves contingency for any provlems...eg when drilling Moby they took ages to run anchors in strong winds and weather delayed drilling...then the drill bit got stuck and they had to run a tricky deviation. All this lost a weeks wort of time in what was a much shallower drill.
Presumably as Basker is a production well it will also involve the establishment of extra infrastructure (casing etc) to facillitate that and that may take some time..of unknown extent.
The only thing that could delay the move to Gilbert is the possibility that AAZ decide to drill an extra well in the available time if they have paid for it. AZA did plan that the current well wold be just one of a series planned for the Basker Field. They just did not say at what timescale the rest would cone into production!!
