I agree that radiologists are not as sought after from the patient perspective than an eye surgeon. I definitely want to know the reputation of the surgeon operating on my eyes compared to a radiologist interpretating scans etc.

Again from my own experience, the radiology group is generally recommended by GP as he is dealing with quality and speed of reports.

The Vision group example was the first and only listed roll up for Opthamologists. Lessons leant. I think radiology roll up model had other types of issues as we saw in CAJ Mark I. Overpaying for private practices without fully understanding the risks in government funding (same thing happened to Opthamologists when government capped cateract surgery). So recent buy out multiples have been more reasonable, but as CEO pointed out in H1 con call, they are moving up again.

Agree that that right incentives need to be in place to attract and retain best radiologists. Many have been calling for better BOD representation for the radiologists for a while now. There are a number of Board members that need to be cut free. Unfortunately, one or two of these leeches will never move on unless they are pushed. For that to happen, we need some of these funds like Geoff Wilson, Microequities and Australian Ethical to organise themselves and deal with the BOD issue if they ever want to maximize their investment returns in CAJ.
