No I don’t see CAJ heading into SA, I think they have no more ammunition in the tank. IDX neither. SA is not a growth story, declining EBITDA and a fairly static population. There are two companies there, Dr Jones and Partners which is I-med and Bensons Radiology.
Healius is not interested in acquisitions in radiology, they are after organic growth only in hospitals and would not be a buyer for Capitol. Sonic would be an ideal acquirer as they have no radiology operations in Victoria apart from a JV with Epworth but have SKG Radiology in WA and they could improve their Pathology Business by colocating collection centres with Radiology. IDX may be interested in Capital at the right price and know the company!s value. Both IDX and Sonic would look at Private Billing and bulk billing could all but disappear.
