Yes I noticed that director had applied for 100,000 extra- and so I put in application for extra 2000 or so. Would have put in more but didn't want to tie up cash for uncertain result.
I don't think they can treat directors differently from anyone else (obvious conflict of interest!) but as they make the rules, and already know what they will do, it would seem to be an advantage to have applied for many additional as this director has done. So I think they'll go for a proportion of the additional shares applied for if there are any not taken up. With the price difference there may be very few left to allocate !.
However- I think that they can decide to issue MORE shares than they said- subject to shareholder approval.
If they do end up doing this it would explain the director applying for such a huge excess.
