Sadly, many of the Jews some 2,000 years ago didn't accept Christ as the messiah, therefore different opinions and stories of Christ were then told to explain away who Jesus really was. Even the Old Testament prophets declared that he would come unto his own people and they would receive him not. Many have said all sorts of things about Christ, but I guess it gets to the point of whether we want to believe or not believe what Jesus declared about himself. Personally, I have always found a greater peace in life in his words; I am the way, the truth, and the life!
Just giving an alternative view, nothing adverse intended!
