The former Chairman of the Central Bougainville COE chairmen, JOHN DONA is calling on the ABG to abort their plan to amend the Bougainville Mining Law and talk to the PANGUNA landowners on ways they can work together for the future of Bougainville.
Speaking to New Dawn FM today, MR. DONA said that the trend the ABG has taken to approve one mining operator to operate on Bougainville under a one hundred year lease is ridiculous and needs to be challenged.
He said that Bougainville leaders must work on uniting the people of Bougainville and not dividing them by making rushed decisions that is not beneficial to the people of Bougainville.
