Not sure that I really care about the whole Spookfish thing. I am a lucky and happy long-termer with NEA who found them through some conversations with a WA company that monetises aerial images/ historical aerial images of WA.

Just wanted to make a quick comment about the IP, all my opinion and experience in the past...but this doesn't make it right say DYOR.

If the SFI people are as smart as they think then they would have held any IP in a holding company and licensed it out to the main business. As a result, they could generate personal incomes for themselves but also hold an extra ace in the hand during any negotiations.

This is what I have seem previously with companies that are "IP Rich" AND smart.

I couldn't be bothered doing the search on the IP like I have done with Nearmaps registrations in the past. I particularly like the use of the term "OTS" technology in one of their early patents.

Wish I bought a few more shackles worth back in the mid 30's days.
