Could not agree more. You just have to look at the Atacama in Chile to see the problems thay are having with water (as a result of copper mine and lithium brine operations) to see that environmental impacts are a major consideration. Also at the Maricunga salar in Chile, environmental and local community considerations are at the forefront of any potential development on that salar. Economic, environmental and social (triple bottom line) implications should have equal consideration. That is mining in the 21st century.
