I guess we all need to get an accountants view when it comes to SMSF's and in this case the BHP share "buy back"
The accountant i use and have used for years urged me to participate in the BHP share buy back and he is of the opinion that while i can buy shares back on market, he advised that to be safe, best i do not buy back the same number of shares as have been taken in the buy back.
