So according to the whitepaper, the upside for low pH scenario is an increase between 30% and 100% of NAMEPLATE. Wow.
1) I'm here to tell you, with utmost certainty (in my opinion ), that low pH will not increase the current plant capacity from 600ktpa to 1.2Mtpa. It's possible that low pH processing will double current production from 140ktpa to 280ktpa but that's an entirely different outcome and one that is likely to bring home the bacon for shareholders.
2) The obvious question..... "Why didn't PEN consider low pH processing from the get go." Diligent project test work, that should have been performed during all the feasibility phases, would have indicated this route to be vastly superior. I expect low pH processing to be better in terms of rate and extent of uranium extraction, but double? No. There are other things to be considered for the low pH route, that may turn out to be worse when compared to the alkaline route. I won't bore you with the detail. Re-read the white paper. It's mentioned in there and seemingly glossed over imo.
Be careful what you wish for ML. Good luck.
