I can't imagine they won't be returning something to the shareholders in their offer, it would be rather insane to engender so much ill-will from the transaction.

I imagine they must have already considered what the effect their actions will likely have and balanced that against their ability to remain isolated from the people they screw publicly, and their ability to avoid the anonymous hordes who will have nothing to lose pursuing them.
