Nobody knows more about the future prospects of a company than the directors. I have no idea why directors did, or did not, participate in the SPP.
If I was offered $15K of nil brokerage shares I would buy them if I thought the price was going to rise (irrespective of how much I already owned as profit is profit).
If I thought the price was going to fall I would buy none of those shares.
