    Can't answer your second question re future of CNP SP it would appear to be in the lap of the gods..

    CER Vs CNP is a sensitive situation, even more so given that CNP owns about half CER and we all have our individual preferences.

    But to answer your first quetion , imho the head stock CNP appears finance wise to be under water with negative equity and relying on fees, and finaniers good will to remain solvent ,while CER which actually owns its assets is in a more positive equity situation and earning rental income which this year has been used to pay down debt.

    Now that the two entities are seperating at long last, and the dud hedge arrangements have been reduced, CER would appear to be making headway, although following the recent Centro decision to offload all, or many of its assets, anything could happen and probably will.

    I hold CER, so I am a little biased , so please do your own research.
