Visitors cannot enter into the mines(tunnels). They are locked.
AZI have geologists in the office and doing field inspectations. Drilling and analysis is done by contractors.

As stated many times in my opinion it comes down to securing funding. I am sure that this will occur in time. How long you ask? Well it depends when those funding are happy with production costs and plans.
