Hi Spec-hope and all IVRers,
Have, between crime fighting, etc looking into a number of the geological terminology which sounds like a lot of high brow terms.
Found these which, if one is interested may help one understand some terms.
I found it interesting and do believe the more one understands things one can come into a conversation with an understanding, of sort and be a little more of what's going on.
Maslins... well what next ... ???????????? Are we waiting on more assays ? Which way will management jump next?
Keep watching on 'Channel HC' for more episodes of :-
- 'The Investigator' as 'The saga continues'.
I would love to know what the BHP investigations/surveys etc - new find - looked like compared to our Maslins... We probably will never know.
Keep safe all and good reading.... nothing else is happening .................................................................yet !!!!!Magneto tellurics (MT) Copied from a web site of meanings of words...
is apassive geophysical method which uses natural time variations of the Earth'smagnetic and electric fields to measure the electrical resistivity of thesub-surface.Electricalresistivity of rocks and minerals is an important physical property to measureas part of attempts to understand geological structure and processes. It variesby many orders of magnitude, from very resistive crystalline igneous rocks, tovery conductive saline-filled sedimentary rocks. As measured by the magnetotelluricmethod, the resistivity obtained is a bulk property of a volume of Earthmaterial and is associated with factors such as rock composition, porosity andpermeability as well as rock fluid composition and temperature.
TheEarth's magnetic field varies continuously in both time and space. By measuringat ground level sites time variations of the magnetic field and the electricfield, the ratio of the electric and magnetic variations provides a measure ofthe electrical resistivity. Depth information is obtained by measuring the timevariations over a range of frequencies. High frequencies penetrate the Earth toshallow depths only, while low frequencies penetrate deeper. Information isobtained from a few hundred metres depth to hundreds of kilometres depth.
GeoscienceAustralia has commenced a program of magnetotelluric data acquisition alongonshore seismic acquisition lines. The electrical information obtained iscomplementary to seismic information, and is most valuable when combined withseismic and other geophysical measurements such as magnetism and gravity inmulti-disciplinary interpretations.
