I spent some time today looking at cashflow and what it might be for 2019H1. In the end I decided that the key thing (and the bit that’s impossible to predict as usual) is the net operating cashflow.
We could assume a scaled up version of the 2018 full year (50% more cash and payments but also debt and so interest). Remove the Golding one-offs and assume the debt pay back scale up and the cash flow looks ok but nothing amazing. Add to this the possibility that some projects are profit making but lagging on cash (I’m thinking GCY) or else (putting a pessimist hat on) might not actually be going great but we don’t know etc etc.
The bottom line is that the cashflow is probably the most important thing in this report on Wed. Not so much for me but for larger investors looking for cracks. I am optimistic because of the NRW ‘X’ factor. I think it was @Riskup who said it back a couple of years: this company under promises and over delivers.
I will give up guessing and turn off the NRW stargazing now for a few days and wait for the report.
Good Luck Holders!
cheers
