Hello everybody,
I hope it is/has been a great weekend out there for all of you .
For me it was food, wine and Christmas shopping (and too many others out there with the same idea).
My personal ‘volume indicators’ are suggesting I am currently ‘overbought’ in the first two areas with plenty of room for upside on the third.
Here at NRW:
I am sure many are hoping the Australian market sell off on Friday on ‘dour’ economic news from China (which then led Wall Street into official ‘correction’ mode) won’t continue tomorrow....and that, if it does, it won’t hurt NWH where, on Friday, a closing auction volume trade (660,624 shares ) set the ‘bulk deal’ price at $1.83.
Also hoping for a speedy recovery for the 22 year old worker who injured their arm in one of the tunnels at the Forrestfield Air Link Project yesterday.

As @Josh01 noted it appears the government is taking the can for rushing the project as most accidents have happened outside normal working hours and it may wish to extend the timeframe.
(NB delays have been consistently flagged as a very real possibility since at least April 2017 when it was reported the project had already almost run out of “planned timing contingencies “ https://www.perthnow.com.au/news/wa...es-delays-ng-4d5d11450ba01bec5c907e3ba7e4447c)
Perhaps they should officially announce a timing extension sooner rather than later ?
As far as the safety concerns go
This (previously posted link) notes :
“Safety on project defended
In a statement, project director Richard Graham said the link was being constructed to "international standards" and every step was subjected to quality assurance.
WorkSafe has completed more than 35 inspections since construction started and last inspected the sites on November 9. There were no notices raised," Mr Graham said.
"We operate eight open sites and provide union access to relevant areas three to four times every week.
Unions have made almost 300 visits to our sites since construction commenced.
“We deal openly with union representatives and have no issue with any safety authority reviewing our practices.
“Safety is our first priority”
