NRW is pleased to announce the award by Rio Tinto of approximately $37 million of bulk earthworks and associated civil works for the Southern Waste Fines Storage Facility at the Marandoo mine in the Pilbara, Western Australia.
The works will include:
The Contract is expected to run for 44 weeks, commencing on site in April 2018. At its peak, there will be over 100 workers required for the project.
- Construction of Stage 1A and 1B of the Southern Waste Fines Storage Facility which includes over 1,500,000cm of embankment construction
- 4km of Access Road which includes over 600,000cm of embankment construction
NRW will utilise its existing civil construction fleet for the project.
