Here’s the big guns shortlisted for that Cross River Rail Project again . I have made a ‘strike through’ on companies that have flagged issues or where there have been changes
Tunnel, Stations and Development public-private partnership consortia shortlist:
Pulse
Qonnect
- CIMIC Group-led consortium, including Pacific Partnerships, CPB Contractors, UGL, BAM, Ghella and DIF
CentriQ Partnerships
- QIC, Capella Capital, Lendlease, John Holland and Bouygues
The Rail, Integration and Systems alliance shortlist:
- Plenary Group, ACCIONA, GS Engineering & Construction, Salini Impregilo and Spotless Group*
RiverCity Alliance
Unity Alliance
- Laing O’Rourke Australia Construction Pty Limited, GHD Pty Ltd, Aurecon Australasia Pty Ltd, SYSTRA Scott Lister Australia Pty Ltd
- CPB Contractors Pty Limited, UGL Engineering Pty Limited, Jacobs Group (Australia) PtyLtd,** AECOM Australia Pty Ltd
I wanted to look (again) at how some of the big entities in some of the major infrastructure projects are faring
*Spotless is Downer ....has flagged sale of engineering/mining arm
**Jacobs group recently bought by Worley Parsons before WP shares crashed.
Lendlease - as mentioned before, in a world of pain ( was signalled in H1 results? https://www.smh.com.au/business/com...ing-woes-weigh-on-profit-20180221-p4z13y.html)
Now engineering division ‘earmarked for a strategic sale’ https://www.theaustralian.com.au/bu...s/news-story/ae523a686ddf038ad9c4e18cdf7797db
Interestingly it won big here https://theurbandeveloper.com/articles/cross-yarra-partnership-melbourne-metro-tunnel
“Lendlease-led Consortium Wins $6 billion Melbourne Metro Tunnel Project
The Cross Yarra Partnership (CYP) – a consortium led by Lendlease Engineering, John Holland, Bouygues Construction and Capella Capital – has been selected to build the Metro Tunnel and five new underground stations......”
..but possibly will be now viewed as a bit of a consortium handicap for the Qonnect bid for Cross River Rail Project.
NB the Cross River Project Qonnect group is almost the same as the one that won the Melbourne Tunnel Project .
The others in this alliance? (If these are the people NRW is going up against when/if it makes infrastructure bids I want to know who they are!)
-Capella Capital. http://capellacapital.com.au/
-John Holland (ex Cimic owned now ‘liberated by the Chinese ‘ https://www.copyright link/business...blossoms-under-cccc-ownership-20171213-h0413f
-Bouygues Construction : A French group recently arrived in Australia and growing by acquisition :
