I have some news:
Thankyou to @Nightmarez3k ovrr in the Maca forum.
It highlights once again (as always) the goodness of NRW which as long termers will recall, just about had North Link stage 2 - a big road project out of Perth - in the palm of its hand .
The company twice confidently mentioned the project as on the cards in presentations and announcements .

But NRW was pipped at the post by a J/V between Laing O’Rourke and BGC Contracting

They clearly undercut NRW’s bid on the project and the government made the mistake of going with ‘cheapest’
On 12 October the two terminated their contract with smaller contractor Omega Constructions which looks as if it will now go into administration https://www.businessnews.com.au/article/Omega-Construction-on-the-brink

CCF WA president David Della Bona said if government was serious about ensuring fairness in civil construction, it needed to “do something about ending the unfair transfer of risk through onerous contracts”.
“The current system may incentivise head contractors to gain a competitive advantage by transferring more risk down the contracting chain,” Mr Della Bona said. “Mandating a standard subcontract would put all tenderers on a fairer footing.”?..
